About the Role:
As a Cover Supervisor, you will ensure the smooth running of lessons in the absence of the regular teacher. You will deliver pre-prepared lessons, manage classroom behaviour, and help pupils stay engaged with their learning. This role is ideal for anyone considering a future in teaching or education.

Key Responsibilities of a Cover Supervisor (CS):

Supervise whole classes during teacher absences, ensuring students remain focused and on task.
Deliver pre-planned lesson materials across various subjects.
Manage behaviour in line with school policies and expectations.
Support students with their learning and offer guidance when needed.
Monitor student progress and provide feedback to teaching staff.
Assist in the preparation and organisation of classroom resources.

Requirements of a Cover Supervisor (CS):

Previous experience as a Cover Supervisor or in a similar role is desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to engage and motivate secondary-aged pupils.
Confident and adaptable approach to managing classrooms.
A genuine interest in supporting students’ academic and personal growth.
Good organisational and time-management abilities.
