My client in the Wombwell area require x 2 Mechanical Fitters.

The Role:
We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Fitter to join our team in Sheffield. The role will involve working on a wide range of rotating equipment, including pumps, motors, gearboxes, and associated mechanical components, both in the workshop and occasionally on-site.
Key Responsibilities:
Strip, inspect, repair, and reassemble rotating equipment *
Carry out fault finding, diagnosis, and remedial work
Mechanical fitting, alignment, and testing of equipment
Working to technical drawings and engineering standards
Ensure quality and health & safety standards are met at all times
Occasional site work to support installations or urgent repairs
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Mechanical Fitter working with rotating machinery
Strong understanding of pumps, gearboxes, motors, and associated systems
Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and schematics
Apprentice trained or relevant mechanical engineering qualification (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, BTEC)
Full UK driving licence preferred
