Sellick Partnership is proud to be working with Barnsley Metropolitan Borough Council on an exclusive basis for the recruitment into their legal team. We are looking for a Projects Lawyer to join the team at a really exciting time, with various major projects coming up in the region for the successful candidate to get involved in.

Key responsibilities of the Projects Lawyer role:

Depending on the level of experience, the lawyers in the Projects team deal with the following type of work:

  • Working on Major Projects, recent examples include the Alhambra Shopping Centre, The Glassworks, Tour of Britain
  • Experience of drafting, reviewing and advising on construction contracts, such as JCT and NEC.
  • Drafting or reviewing development agreements, framework agreements and bespoke standard terms and conditions
  • Advising on consultancy agreements, professional service contracts, grant agreements, collateral warranties, PCGs, bond and collaboration agreements
  • Working closely with the procurement team to provide advice
  • Development and regeneration projects
