Attendance and Cover Manager

Location: Barnsley, South Yorkshire

Salary: 29,572.00 - 30,559.00 (FTE, Salary to be pro rata)

Unique School Solutions are recruiting on behalf of a Secondary School in Barnsley to appoint an Attendance and Cover Manager on a Permanent Contract to start as soon as possible.

Essential skills for the role:

Strong administration and organisational skills

Ability to work under pressure and over time develop arrangements and solutions to cover staff absence in cost-effective and efficient ways

Computer literate

Knowledge of relevant computer systems to retrieve information including SIMS

Duties of the role:

To coordinate the timely and smooth operation of Cover Supervision so that the needs of the school are met to address teaching and non-teaching staff absence

To work under the guidance of SLT and/or Teachers to liaise with teachers about cover work requirements

Keep full and accurate records of staff absence and provide daily reports of staff absence to SLT

Provide the SLT with reports on long-term cover

To coordinate the work of the team of cover supervisors working in the school and build relationships with supply agencies for this provision

This role is a permanent position and Unique School Solutions are acting as an employment agency on behalf of the school in relation to this vacancy.
