Shifts:聽6pm-6am 4 on 4 off shift pattern
Location:聽Barnsley, s74
Job Type: Ongoing position.
Pay rates:
- Weekday nights: 拢18.59
- Saturday night: 拢21.69
- Sunday night: 拢22.96
The role:
路 Perform non-stop shunting of trailers within the yard to ensure efficient operations.
路 Safely manoeuvre vehicles in tight and busy spaces.
路 Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections to ensure safety and reliability.
路 Adhere to all health and safety regulations and procedures.
路 Coordinate with the yard and dispatch teams to maintain seamless workflow.
路 Report any defects or issues promptly to the maintenance team.
路 Maintain accurate records of shunting activities and vehicle movements.
路 Assist with other yard duties as needed.
Requirements:
路 Full UK driving licence with Class 1 entitlement (category C+E).
路 1 years' experience preferred but not essential.
路 Valid and in date DCPC and Digital Tachograph card.
路 No more than 6 points on licence (minor offences only).
路 Successful completion of training.
路 Full understanding of WTD legislation.
路 Excellent communication skills.
路 A safety-first mindset.
