Sick of being a payroll number in a company full of them?
This isn't just another job processing 4-weekly figures in a back-office bubble. It's a chance to shape how payroll's run across 100+ sites and growing with direct access to the Finance Director and a voice in how processes evolve.
Here's what's in it for you:
- £30,000 salary depending on experience
- Flexible start/finish times
- Space to shape the role as the business scales
- Opportunity for part-time or full-time working hours, depending on your circumstances
The payroll manager will handle end-to-end payroll for a high-volume, multi-site setup for approximately 1,800 employees. That means running fortnightly and monthly payrolls, managing everything from RTI submissions to auto-enrolment pension uploads (NEST), and keeping the time and attendance system (Maxtime) in check.
You'll also take charge of compliance work, like P11Ds, gender pay reports, and ensuring payroll is always aligned with NMW legislation.
There's plenty of room here to improve processes, streamline admin and get involved in wider finance operations, if you want to.
To thrive in this payroll supervisor role, you'll need at least 2 years' payroll experience and a CIPP Level 3 qualification (or similar). If you've used Sage 50 Payroll and you're comfortable with Excel VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables, you'll hit the ground running.
In return, you'll join a business that's growing fast but hasn't lost its scrappy, entrepreneurial energy. You won't be boxed into a rigid job spec, if you want more responsibility, they'll give it to you.
