We are seeking a skilled Plasterer to join our team, providing professional, high-quality craftsmanship and customer-oriented services to both internal and external customers. This role requires excellent organisational skills, the ability to work both independently and as part of a team, and a strong commitment to health and safety standards.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities:- Prepare areas for plastering, including the removal and covering of furniture.
- Remove old plaster from walls and ceilings and apply new lightweight plasters.
- Apply sand/cement and polymer insulating render to exterior walls.
- Fix plasterboard to walls and ceilings, including over-boarding.
- Apply plasters in special circumstances such as damp proofing and wet rot.
- Liaise with other employees, tenants, and managers, and assist across various trades.
- Maintain vehicle stock levels to ensure service efficiency.
- Submit all worksheets and documents related to the job within required timescales.
- Carry out additional duties such as Driver/Labourer as required.
- NVQ Level 2 in Plastering or equivalent qualification is essential.
- NVQ Level 3 in Plastering or willingness to work towards gaining the qualification is essential.
- Demonstrable experience in plastering work within repairs, maintenance, and refurbishment projects.
- Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures relevant to construction work.
- Ability to work at heights and organise personal workload effectively.
- Current driving license and ability to travel as necessary for the role.
- Basic IT skills and experience using mobile and digital technology for work management.
