QC Inspector - Barnsley
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QC Inspector to join a quality-focused team.
Salary: 30,000 - 33,000
Hours: Flexible - 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday between 06:00 - 22:00
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out chemical analysis tests and generate reports.
Perform dimensional inspections using manual measuring tools (micrometres, digital calipers, protractors, gauges, etc.).
Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation.
Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and in good working order.
Report and document non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis when required.
Follow internal safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.
Support continuous improvement initiatives in inspection processes and product quality.
Skills & Qualifications:
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
Competent in manual measuring techniques.
Knowledge of non-conformance reporting and calibration requirements advantageous.
Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting skills.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
