QC Inspector - Barnsley

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QC Inspector to join a quality-focused team.

Salary: £30,000 - £33,000Hours: Flexible - 4 x 10-hour shifts, Monday to Thursday between 06:00 - 22:00

Key Responsibilities:
  • Carry out chemical analysis tests and generate reports.

  • Perform dimensional inspections using manual measuring tools (micrometres, digital calipers, protractors, gauges, etc.).

  • Record inspection results and maintain accurate documentation.

  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.

  • Ensure measuring equipment is calibrated and in good working order.

  • Report and document non-conformances, contributing to root cause analysis when required.

  • Follow internal safety procedures and maintain a safe working environment.

  • Support continuous improvement initiatives in inspection processes and product quality.

Skills & Qualifications:
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

  • Competent in manual measuring techniques.

  • Knowledge of non-conformance reporting and calibration requirements advantageous.

  • Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting skills.

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
