Day to Day of the Role:
  • As a Special Needs HLTA - Autism Specialist, you will work closely with children who have autism, tailoring your approach to meet their individual needs.
  • You will be instrumental in implementing educational plans and engaging students through innovative, tailored teaching methods.
  • Collaborate with a team of dedicated professionals to create a nurturing and effective learning environment.
  • Regularly assess and record the progress of students, adapting strategies as needed to optimise learning outcomes.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
  • Proven experience as a Special Needs HLTA or in a similar role with transferable skills, specifically working with children with special educational needs (SEN).
  • A robust understanding of the challenges and rewards of working with children with autism.
  • Confidence and dedication to go above and beyond in supporting the educational and emotional needs of children.
  • Must possess a DBS on the update service or be willing to obtain one.
