Chartered Architectural Technician Location: North Devon
Position: Full-Time, Permanent

Are you a Chartered Architectural Technician (CIAT) with strong REVIT skills looking to work in a supportive, forward-thinking environment?

The Role

As a Chartered Technician, you will:

  • Play a key role in the technical delivery of projects from planning through to completion
  • Work closely with architects, designers, and external consultants
  • Use your knowledge of construction, building regulations, and technical design to bring residential projects to life

Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate technical drawings and detailed construction packages using REVIT
  • Oversee coordination of technical design across all project stages
  • Prepare and submit planning and building regulation applications
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to ensure smooth project progression
  • Ensure compliance with current building regulations and technical standards
  • Support junior team members and contribute to a collaborative studio culture

Requirements

  • Chartered Member of CIAT (essential)
  • Strong experience in UK residential projects (new builds, extensions, conversions)
  • Advanced proficiency in REVIT and familiarity with BIM workflows
  • Solid understanding of UK building regulations and construction methods
  • Excellent technical detailing skills and attention to accuracy
  • Effective communicator with a proactive and professional approach
