Quantity Surveyor – BarnstapleAn exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join a dynamic and growing construction firm based in Devon. This company is known for its collaborative, professional, and people-first approach to delivering high-quality commercial projects across the South West.This is a fantastic chance to take on a key role in a supportive, forward-thinking environment where your skills and initiative will be highly valued. As Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take the lead on project costing and commercial management across a range of developments – from initial feasibility to final accounts. You'll work closely with project managers, contractors, and clients to ensure successful financial outcomes while helping shape the future growth of the business. Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and manage cost plans, estimates, and budgets
  • Handle tender processes and contract negotiations
  • Administer contracts and manage subcontractor payments
  • Monitor project variations, risk, and financial reporting
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure commercial alignment
Applicants should possess:
  • Experience within a main contractor
  • Ideally qualified to degree or HNC level in Construction or Quantity Surveying or working towards
  • Confident communication and negotiation skills
  • Fully IT literate and numeric
  • Keen to continue professional development and career progression
  • Relevant driving licence
