Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding / Sheet Metal

We offer a wide range of technical courses, apprenticeships, and higher education pathways, alongside one of the broadest A Level offers in the region.

We are currently seeking a Lecturer in Fabrication & Welding / Sheet Metal to join our team on a full-time, permanent basis.



The Role

You will work closely with fabrication and welding learners across both workshop and classroom (theory) settings, delivering programmes up to Level 3 to full-time students and apprentices. This is a rewarding opportunity to help shape the next generation of skilled engineers and tradespeople.

If you have strong industry experience in fabrication, welding, or sheet metal work - whether time-served or holding equivalent qualifications - we want to hear from you. Teaching experience is not essential. For candidates joining us from industry, we will fully fund your teaching qualification to support your transition into education.



Salary and Benefits

  • Salary: 28,718 - 36,500 for industry, for qualified teachers, up to 43,000 per annum

  • Hours: 35 hours per week

  • Contract Type: Permanent

  • Annual Leave: 42 days, plus bank holidays and a Christmas closure period

  • Pension Scheme: 23-28.68% Employer contribution
