Commercial Manager Contract: 12 MonthsBased: BarrowHourly Rate: £31.19 PAYE or £41.94 Umbrella inside IR3537 Hours per week  OverviewBAE Systems are seeking an experienced Commercial Manager – Contracts to lead and manage commercial and contractual strategy across a number of business-critical programmes. This is a key leadership role where you'll guide contract negotiations, mitigate commercial risk, and help shape the success of our Weapons business Skills 
  • At least 5 years of commercial and contractual management experience
  • Strong knowledge of UK MOD and US DOD contracting processes (including DEFCON, FAR/DFAR)
  • Skilled in pricing, proposal preparation, and contract negotiation
  • Ability to influence across all levels of the business and work cross-functionally
  • Proven leadership experience, with the ability to develop teams and drive performance

  • Leading commercial activity across multiple programmes and contracts
  • Advising on contractual, legal, and commercial matters to support strategic decisions
  • Managing and developing a high-performing Commercial team
  • Supporting bids, drafting and negotiating contracts, and managing supplier/customer relationships
  • Driving compliance and risk mitigation while maximising business success
