Skilled Mechanical Technician

This company is seeking a talented and dedicated Mechanical Technician to join their dynamic team. As a Mechanical Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and improving the company's operational equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities of the Mechanical Technician:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical malfunctions or equipment failures, applying your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues
- Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on operational equipment, ensuring it meets acceptable operating standards
- Collaborate with the Manufacturing team to problem-solve and implement improvements to machinery and control systems
- Modify prototypes under the guidance of Engineers to correct functional deviations
- Record test procedures and results, and recommend or initiate equipment modifications or replacements as needed
- Maintain high standards of housekeeping and contribute to the company's commitment to engineering best practices
The ideal Mechanical Technician will possess:
- A strong background in a relevant engineering field, ideally with a recognised apprenticeship or NVQ Level 3 qualification
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a hands-on approach to troubleshooting
- Proficient computer literacy and the ability to work with a variety of people
- A committed and flexible attitude, with a keen focus on safety and environmental standards
