Morson are looking to recruit sheet metal workers for our client in Barrow. These are a 12 month contract with the likelihood of extension.
Location: Barrow in Furness
No less than 37 hours worked
33 days holiday inclusive of bank holidays
Overtime available but not guaranteed
What you’ll be doing:
Fabricate, assemble, and install, sheet metal items, including the use of welding and fabrication equipment on the Astute and/or Dreadnought class submarines whilst under construction
Background experience:
Experience of submarine /shipbuilding construction would be an advantage. Any industrial experience is beneficial
Qualifications:
Apprenticeship In Sheet Metal Work, Industrial Experience Is Key
Shifts can vary and you must be flexible. Predominant shift patterns 3 on 4 off and nights:
3 on 4 off - Locals: £23.28 PAYE Non locals: £31.28 PAYE(Umbrella rates also available)
Nights - Locals: £25.80 PAYE Non locals: £33.80 PAYE (Umbrella rates also available)
You will need to live 40 miles or more to be classed as a non local
