Credit ControllerBarton-upon-Humber, North Lincolnshire Up to £30,000 Elevation Accountancy & Finance Recruitment Group are currently seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Credit Controller to join a well-established and tight-knit finance team based in Barton-upon-Humber. 

As Credit Controller here, you’ll play a key part in managing the company’s credit control operations. The role involves ensuring prompt collection of outstanding payments, maintaining healthy cash flow, and building strong relationships with customers. This position calls for professionalism, strong communication skills, and a good working knowledge of accounting software and credit procedures.Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain the sales ledger system, ensuring efficiency and accuracy
  • Issue overdue payment reminders and correspondence
  • Monitor internal accounts for a small group of branches
  • Assist in setting up new customer accounts and running credit checks
  • Review and adjust credit limits when required
  • Allocate daily bank payments and post them to the ledger
  • Proactively chase overdue balances via phone, email, and post
  • Escalate debts internally and externally when necessary
  • Refer delinquent accounts to debt recovery agencies or small claims court
  • Handle customer queries relating to payments and accounts
  • Support the Credit Manager and assist with month-end procedures and reporting
  • Provide cover during periods of annual leave
