  • Executive support: Managing the Leader’s activities, meetings, and priorities.
  • Stakeholder liaison: Handling casework and fostering relationships with internal and external parties.
  • Meeting coordination: Scheduling, document preparation, minute-taking, and action tracking.
  • Event management: Planning conferences, away days, and other engagements.
  • Gatekeeping: Acting as the Leader’s primary contact for inquiries, ensuring political awareness and discretion.
  • Policy and operational awareness: Keeping the Leader informed of challenges and initiatives.
  • Compliance: Adhering to GDPR, Equal Opportunities, and Health and Safety regulations. The role requires exceptional judgment, initiative, and political awareness to support the Leader in delivering the Council’s objectives effectively
