As a key support to the Site Technical Manager, you will play a vital role in maintaining site technical standards and ensuring smooth, compliant operations across all departments.
As Site Technical Assistant, you will act as the primary on-site technical contact, supported by a Technical Manager who is on-site weekly. The structure gives you real ownership of technical compliance, documentation control, quality systems, and site-based activities within a dynamic supply chain environment.
Site Technical Assistant Key Responsibilities
- Maintain all technical documentation, including specifications, certificates, traceability records, and supplier information
- Manage customer complaints and support associated investigations
- Ensure the QMS / Quality Management System and documentation is accurate and regularly reviewed
- Assist internal teams by ensuring standards and procedures are clearly communicated and effectively implemented
- Prepare information required for internal and external audits to BRC standards and support the delivery of audit activities
- Administer supplier documentation and due diligence, including data verification on technical platforms
- Conduct internal inspections, including hygiene and good manufacturing practice assessments, and record findings accurately
Site Technical Assistant Requirements
- Experience in a food site technical compliance position, with exposure to BRC standards
- Good communication skills and ability to work positively with cross functional teams
- Able to work accurately to strict deadlines within a time critical environment
- Confident with documentation management and administrative processes
- Comfortable working across office, packhouse, and cold store environments
