Job Title: Asbestos Surveyor
Location: Basildon, Essex
Salary/Benefits: 25k - 42k + Training & Benefits
We are recruiting for a qualified Asbestos Surveyor, who can hit the ground running, with a proven track record within the industry. The company is UKAS accredited and has a growing presence across the UK, so there are great opportunities for training and progession with the company. You will be working on a static site, conducting predominantly pre-demolition asbestos surveys. Ideally, you will be located around: Basildon, Wickford, South Benfleet, Canvey Island, Hockley, South Woodham Ferrers, Chelmsford, Billericay, Hornchurch, Romford, Rainham, Barking, Ilford, Chigwell, Harlow, Enfield, Southend-on-Sea, Maldon, Grays, Tilbury, Erith, Dartford, Gravesend, Sidcup, Bromley, Orpington, Croydon.
Experience / Qualifications:
- Must hold the BOHS P402 (or RSPH equivalent)
- Proven track record working as an Asbestos Surveyor
- Will have worked within a UKAS accredited company
- Robust technical knowledge, including: HSG 264 guidelines
- Experience working across a variety of client sites
- Good literacy, numeracy and IT skills
The Role:
- Conducting mainly pre-demolition surveys, and some management and refurbishment surveys
- Collecting ACM samples from site for analysis
- Producing detailed survey reports and schematic drawings
- Providing detailed technical advice and updates to clients
- Adhering to strict health and safety guidelines
- Working to agreed deadlines and personal targets
- Representing the company in a professional manner
- Keeping up-to-date with industry guidelines
