CNC Turner - Day Shift

  • Pay Rate Guide: £36,504 PA (£18.00 P/HR), depending on experience
  • Overtime: Paid at time and a half
  • Location: Basildon area
  • Hours: Day Shift: Monday - Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM & Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
  • Employment Type: Permanent

We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join this long established and respected precision engineering company located in the Basildon - Billericay area.

The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of setting and operating CNC Lathes.

As a CNC Turner, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC Lathes to produce high-precision components according to technical drawings and specifications.

We would also welcome applications from CNC Turners who have programming and/or Sliding Head lathe experience.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and operate CNC lathes to produce components with tight tolerances
  • Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and accuracy of components
  • Conduct routine maintenance and troubleshoot issues
  • Inspect finished components to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Work collaboratively with the team to enhance production efficiency

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Suitable engineering apprenticeship of equiv. - Beneficial
  • Experience Setting and operating CNC lathes
  • Any programming experience - Beneficial
  • Strong understanding of technical drawings and specifications
  • Good communication and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Attention to detail and quality-focused mindset

Working Hours:

  • 39 hours per week
  • Monday to Thursday: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Friday: 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM
