Lead Electronic Design Engineer
Basildon
Paying up to 70p/h (Inside IR35)
Responsibilities:
- Development of hardware solutions to include the design of in-house PCBs
- Supporting Systems Engineers to develop requirements and architecture
- Supporting the integration of hardware,firmware nd software
- Supporting qualification activities
- Supporting trials proving activities
- Fully documenting and recording your work products; keeping them under configuration management, and providing plans and progress reports
- Working within a multi-disciplined team of engineers to resolve technical issues
Experience required:
- Minimum of a BTEC, HND or Apprenticeship in an Electronics based Engineering course
- Knowledge of all stages of the engineering development lifecycle
- Familiarity with circuit design (schematic capture) and simulation tools
- Practical experience of Hardware, Firmware & Software Integration of Microprocessor-Based designs
- Integrating in-house designs with COTS modules (power supplies,single board computers, RF interfaces)
- Practical experience of debugging, testing and verifying new designs
- A methodical approach to the full hardware design lifecycle, working to a structured hardware process
- DFxknowledge specifically Design for EMC
- Ability to schedule work and manage time in keeping with project timescales and budgets
