A1 Personnel is recruiting for a Fettler/Polisher to join a precision engineering company located in Basildon.

As a metal fettler/polisher you will prepare metal components for further processing, primarily by cleaning, deburring, and polishing them. This involves removing weld splatter, grease, grime, and rust using various tools like grinders, hand sanders, and wire brushes. They also ensure that metal components are ready for painting, priming, or other finishing processes.

What you will be doing:

  • Using various polishing machines and hand tools to achieve desired finishes.
  • Prepare Surfaces:
  • Preparing metal surfaces for plating or other finishing processes, ensuring optimal adhesion and a perfect finish.
  • Troubleshoot and Resolve Issues:
  • Identifying and solving problems that arise during the polishing process.
  • Inspect Finished Products:
