Noble Recruiting are currently recruiting a confident and experienced Sea Freight Export Manager to join our friendly and proactive Client in Basildon, Essex.

Due to the nature of our roles, candidates must be a UK Resident residing within the local area. Please note we cannot offer visa sponsorship for overseas candidates.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing daily operations for efficient running of the department(s)
  • General day to day operational escalations and provide guidance for staff
  • Managing staff holiday requests to ensure adequate cover in addition to any cover for short notice sickness/agreed absence.
  • Complete return to work meetings
  • Setting goals and defining clear objectives for the team
  • Working with staff to guarantee month end is reported accurately, with minimal corrections and we’re on target to meet annual budgets
  • Completing staff exit interviews, selecting & recruiting suitable replacements whilst being mindful of FTE count requirements.
  • Develop and implement operational strategies which may provide enhancement to existing and any new policies/Country requirements

You will need:

  • Confident and outgoing individual.
  • Sea Freight Export experience essential.
  • Experience using Freight Systems.
  • Previous experience managing or supervising a team.
  • Able to communicate in a clear, concise, and logical manner both verbally and written.
  • Be able to organise and multi-task.
  • Worked within a Freight Forwarding environment within the last 5 years.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Driver with own transport is desirable.
  • UK resident and the right to work in the UK.
