Warehouse Manager £33,000 - £40,000 DOE Basildon - Perm plus company bonus & Proift Share Scheme

Monday to Friday, 7:00am - 5:00pm (with requirement to cover shift staff holidays)We are looking for a proactive and experienced Depot Manager to take full responsibility for our warehouse and yard operations in Basildon Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll lead a team of four and be accountable for delivering safe, compliant, and efficient daily operations across all depot functions.Benefits:* Company sick pay* Company van provided after successful completion of trial period* Performance-based bonus scheme* Company pension schemeKey Responsibilities:* Lead, train, and support depot staff to maintain a safe, organised, and productive working environment.* Oversee Goods In, Goods Out, stock control, and accurate data entry using INTACT systems.* Ensure depot operations meet legal, safety, and environmental compliance requirements.* Conduct audits and maintain open lines of communication with third-party H&S partners.* Manage equipment checks and maintenance, including forklifts and vehicles.* Liaise closely with internal departments and external partners to ensure smooth operations and customer satisfaction.* Maintain depot security, organise rotas, and support resource planning for holidays and sickness.* Monitor KPIs including picking/loading performance and stock accuracy, reporting directly to the Operations Manager.* Assist in recruitment and continuous improvement initiatives.What We're Looking For:* Experience in depot or warehouse management* Sound knowledge of operational H&S and compliance requirements* Strong team leadership, organisational, and communication skills* Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with INTACT is an advantage* Valid UK driving licence (Forklift licence ideal)* Knowledge of O Licence compliance and warehouse procedures is desirable
