SEN Learning Support Assistant – Primary School (Basildon)
Full-time or Part-time | Immediate Start Available
We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Basildon who are looking to appoint a SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their team. This role is available on a full-time or part-time basis, depending on the right candidate.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support pupils with Special Educational Needs, either on a 1:1 basis or within small groups, helping them access learning and reach their full potential.
The role will involve:

Providing tailored support to pupils with SEN, including ASD, ADHD and additional learning needs

Supporting learning, behaviour and emotional regulation within the classroom

Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies

Encouraging independence, confidence and inclusion

Supporting pupils both inside and outside the classroom when required
We are looking for someone who:

Has experience working with children with SEN (school-based experience preferred)

Is patient, caring and reliable

Can work well as part of a team and use their own initiative
-
Has a genuine passion for supporting children with additional needs

Holds an enhanced DBS on the update service or is willing to apply for one
