A leading manufacturer are hiring a Purchasing Assistant to join their team.

As a Purchasing Assistant, you will play a key role in building and maintaining strong commercial relationships with suppliers. You will be responsible for managing purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement contracts. While the primary focus will be on procurement tasks, the role will also involve providing customer care support during busy periods and holidays, ensuring a smooth customer experience.Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain strong commercial relationships with suppliers to ensure smooth procurement processes and effective problem resolution.
  • Maintain and update purchasing records, supplier databases, and procurement contracts, ensuring all information is accurate and up to date.
  • Record and monitor supplier Agreement performances, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of goods and services
  • Track overdue orders and returns, working with suppliers and internal teams to resolve issues
  • Provide customer care support as needed during busy periods or holidays, assisting with inquiries and ensuring a positive experience for customers.
  • Handle incoming calls from suppliers and customers, addressing queries, resolving issues, and providing timely responses
