Our client is a leading new-build &refurbishment contractorwith over half a century in operation and a turnover in excess of 55 million.

Family owned since the 60s they work with a mixture of private and public sector clients across London and the Southeast delivering high quality new build, refurbishment & retrofit projects ranging between 5m and 50m for local authorities, schools, hospitals, commercial organisations and housing associations.

The Role

Currently seeking to recruit a Quantity Surveyor to work on10m+ temporary accommodation scheme, which involves the installation of pre-constructed modular units.

The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience working for a comparable main contractor.

Roles and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Manage and oversee all aspects of cost management for social housing projects
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation
  • Conduct site visits to assess progress and financial performance
  • Work closely with project managers, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure financial efficiency
  • Monitor and control project costs to ensure compliance with budgets
  • Negotiate contracts, procurement, and variations with suppliers and subcontractors
  • Prepare and present financial reports and final accounts
  • Ensure adherence to relevant regulations, policies, and industry standards
