As a leading supplier of construction products nationwide, Our client is looking for an exceptional Sales Office Manager to lead their Dagenham-based team. This is a crucial role for a hands-on manager who can inspire a team, drive process improvements, and contribute directly to our exciting growth plans.

The Role

As the Sales Office Manager, you will be the heart of the sales operation, leading a small team to provide excellent service to customers. Your role is a blend of leadershipcustomer care, and strategic growth, where you will:

  • Lead with Authenticity: Coach and mentor your team to provide exceptional customer care and technical support, fostering a culture of high performance and attention to detail.
  • Drive Process Enhancements: Be the catalyst for change, identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance service levels, improve efficiency, and scale with the  growth of the business.
  • Oversee Daily Operations: Manage the day-to-day functions, including sales order processing, customer query resolution, delivery scheduling, and CRM maintenance, ensuring seamless support for the external sales team.
  • Fuel Sales Growth: Motivate your team to actively upsell promotions and special offers, influencing basket value and product mix to align with the strategic objectives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven Leadership: A minimum of 5 years in B2B sales, with a track record of strong, authentic leadership and a passion for mentoring a team.
  • Results-Oriented: A history of exceptional performance and a strong work ethic. You are self-motivated, organised, and have a proven drive to 'get it done.'
  • Customer-Focused: Strong at building lasting relationships with both customers and colleagues.
  • Sales Expertise: A talent for maximising sales and profitability and overlaying technical product knowledge to meet customer needs.
  • Continuous Improvement: A focus on identifying areas for improvement and an eagerness to learn and grow.

Bonus points if you have:

  • Experience in construction materials, particularly drywall, insulation, and M&E support systems.
  • A background in managing and tracking sales pipelines.
