We are looking for a Polisher/Fettler to work in a busy manufacturing environment at our Basildon site. Full training will be given.
Working hours: 39 hours, Monday to Thursday 7.00am-16.00pm (half an hour unpaid lunch / Friday 7.30am-12.30pm
Salary: £26,300 plus overtime

- Must be available to work overtime as and when required.
- Must have excellent hand eye coordination.
- Must be able to work with measuring/inspection equipment.
Purpose of role and key accountabilities:
To carry out deburring/polishing of parts for the aerospace industry in a machine shop environment.
- Removing burrs and sharp edges using files, scrapers and rotary tools
- Grind/polish materials to drawing requirements using air/hand tools to achieve the required finish.
- Light polishing of various steel and aluminum components.
- Visual inspection of completed products.
- Completing appropriate documentation.
- Working to ISO 50001/14001/ 45001/9001 standards
- As part of your role, you will be asked to support the Energy team and consider energy reduction and savings within the scope of your role leading to continuous improvement.
The employee must also strive to support the elements of the SQCDP framework of the wider Gardner business;
