Accountant - £250 per day - Basingstoke - 6/9 month contract - Hybrid
I am currently recruiting for an Accountant for my client based in Basingstoke. This is a varied role working in a brilliant team.
Responsibilities:
- Assist with the production of Management Accounts
- Review and sign off monthly payroll
- Manage the Fixed Assist Register
- Provide variance analysis and commentary for Store Overheads & Labour
- Preparation and submission of periodic returns to HMRC for VAT
- Prepare and sign off balance sheet reconciliations
- Manage all data IRIS - Leases
- Prepare interim and annual audit files
- Provide ad hoc finance support
- Provide cover to FBP
Requirements:
- Ability to prioritise and organise own work
- Strong knowledge of Excel; V-lookups and pivot tables is desirable
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
- Minimum 2 year's experience in similar financial role within Accounting.
- Experience of preparation of monthly management accounts
- Experience to manage a team
