Accountant - £250 per day - Basingstoke - 6/9 month contract - Hybrid

I am currently recruiting for an Accountant for my client based in Basingstoke. This is a varied role working in a brilliant team.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the production of Management Accounts
  • Review and sign off monthly payroll
  • Manage the Fixed Assist Register
  • Provide variance analysis and commentary for Store Overheads & Labour
  • Preparation and submission of periodic returns to HMRC for VAT
  • Prepare and sign off balance sheet reconciliations
  • Manage all data IRIS - Leases
  • Prepare interim and annual audit files
  • Provide ad hoc finance support
  • Provide cover to FBP

Requirements:

  • Ability to prioritise and organise own work
  • Strong knowledge of Excel; V-lookups and pivot tables is desirable
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Minimum 2 year's experience in similar financial role within Accounting.
  • Experience of preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Experience to manage a team
