Management Accountant - Basingstoke - £50,000 - £60,000 - Housing - Hybrid Working - ACCA/CIMA/ACA

I am partnering with one of IN2 Consult's longest standing clients, a key player in the Housing industry, on their search for a Management Accountant to join their ever-growing team.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an expanding business during an exciting period of growth and change. The successful candidate can expect to partner regularly with senior leadership, add value and drive business success.

This Management Accountant role includes the following duties:

  • Support Finance Managers during the month-end close by overseeing ledger controls and ensuring thorough balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Ensure financial accuracy and transparency by analyzing actual results, uncovering key insights, and presenting actionable recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Actively engage with budget holders throughout the planning and forecasting cycle, offering guidance, asserting direction when necessary, and promoting accountability in financial management.
  • Translate operational data into financial outcomes, ensuring the integrity of the general ledger while continuously identifying opportunities to streamline systems and processes.
  • Deliver internal financial reports that are timely, detailed, and accurate, equipping senior leadership with the insights needed to monitor performance and drive decisions.
  • Provide insightful analysis and narrative around monthly budget and forecast variances, highlighting emerging risks and opportunities, and playing a key role in reforecasting efforts.

The ideal candidate for this Management Accountant role will have the following experience:

  • ACCA/CIMA/ACA Qualified
  • Prior Housing industry experience would be advantageous
  • Communicate effectively and build strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders across the business.
  • Confidently present financial information, insights, and reports in a clear and accessible manner to non-finance audiences.
  • Influence and advise stakeholders at all levels, using sound judgment and commercial awareness to support business objectives.
  • Proactively challenge the status quo, bringing forward innovative ideas that contribute to the continuous improvement and growth of the organization.
  • Apply strong analytical thinking and a logical approach to problem-solving, with the agility to adapt quickly to evolving business priorities.
  • Possess high numerical aptitude and advanced IT proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word.
