We are seeking an astute Assistant Accountant to join our Accounting & Finance department. This role requires a meticulous individual with a strong grounding in industrial sector accounting practices.

Description

Assist in preparing financial statements in compliance with official guidelines and requirements.
Manage journal entries, invoices etc. and reconcile accounts for the monthly or annual closing.
Assist with payroll, including input/dat entry, queries and reconciliations
Participate in tax audits and payroll audits
Assist reports detailing monthly expenses by cost centres.
Analyse financial trends.
Review company's accounting information to identify and resolve inaccuracies or imbalances.
Utilise accounting IT system to facilitate processes and maintain records.

Profile

A successful Assistant Accountant should have:

A degree in Accounting, Finance or relevant field.
Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with SAGE
Understanding of data analysis and forecasting.
Knowledge of business process improvements.
Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
An analytical mind with a strategic ability.
Excellent organisational and coordination skills.
