Used Car Controller

My client is seeking a Used Car Controller to join their dynamic Dealership Team. Reporting to the General Sales Manager, this role is crucial for achieving sales and financial targets through effective management of the used car sales department. The ideal candidate will work closely with Sales Managers, ensuring the procurement and supply of quality used vehicles to meet financial and volume targets.
Day-to-day of the role:
- Assist Sales Managers in maintaining optimum used stock levels to maximise sales opportunities.
- Ensure used cars are purchased at correct market value, reflecting their age and preparation costs, in compliance with brand policy.
- Develop approved relationships with manufacturers, auction houses, and other trade contacts for stock acquisition.
- Make purchases aligned with the defined stock profile and individual business requirements.
- Provide advice and support on retail and trade valuations.
- Produce detailed reports on purchase activity and monitor 60+ day stock, advising on price realignment and assisting in disposal/inter-company transfers.
- Conduct due diligence on vehicle condition, service history, previous ownership, outstanding finance, warranted mileage, and previous accident damage.
- Ensure compliance with Brand Approved Used Vehicle Programme standards.
- Monitor and provide feedback on market trends and conditions at auctions.
- Control preparation standards and costs and reduce turnaround times for used car preparations.
- Manage forecourt display standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
