We are working with a market leading industrial business based in Basingstoke to appoint their Regional Controller. The successful candidate will be ACA/ACCA or CIMA qualified with strong finance business partnering skills.
The role is based at Basingstoke 4 days a week with one day from home. There will be some requirements to visit sites in the region on an ad hoc basis.
As the trusted Finance Business Partner for the region you will provide high quality, insightful and transparent analysis and advice to monitor financial performance, drive continuous improvement, support business decisions and to protect the business against unacceptable financial risks.
You will provide timely, accurate and transparent financial analysis of monthly performance at site and regional level, including review/challenge of and input to key reports (Trio, Facto, KPIs, business improvement plans) and variance analysis to budget and PY.
Review and comment on weekly performance.
Participate in site and regional monthly meetings with General Managers, Regional Directors and other Senior Managers (other meetings as required to support specific initiatives e.g. optimisation projects).
Prepare reports for Senior Management (including on revenue movements, risks/opportunities to forecast, business cases, scenario planning, trends and benchmarking, sensitivity analysis).
Coordinate local forecast and budget activities, working with Finance Director and rest of Finance Team.
Coordinate with Shared Services Finance to finalise monthly results.
Lead on certain cross regional activities (e.g. revenue analysis, capex tracking) -responsibility to be shared across controller community.
Work with Finance, business and IT colleagues to support development of improved reporting & BI on a consistent basis across the UK; work with GMs and others in the business to ensure understanding and use of new reports.
