A large, customer-focused organisation near Reading is seeking an Interim Finance Business Partner on a six month contract to support a key business area with a budget in excess of £200 million. This is a true business partnering role — not focused on reporting, but on enabling better decision making through financial insight, challenge and commercial thinking.

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Partnering with senior stakeholders in a fast-paced directorate to provide robust decision support
  • Analysing and interpreting monthly financial reports to influence operational and strategic planning
  • Applying a commercial mindset to identify efficiencies, challenge assumptions, and recommend improvements
  • Maintaining regular, value-adding communication with non-finance stakeholders
  • Supporting the development of business cases and tracking of financial performance against objectives

This role requires someone who is confident engaging with senior leaders, able to navigate complex budgets, and keen to drive better outcomes through finance. Office attendance is expected twice per week and an immediate start is available.

To be considered, please meet the following criteria:

  • Fully qualified accountant (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA). Finalists with their final exams booked in can be considered.
  • Prior experience working in a decision-support role in a large, complex organisation
  • Proven ability to interpret financial data and deliver clear, actionable insight
  • Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
