Pertemps are recruiting for experienced HGV Class 1 Drivers to start work on behalf of a world-leading distribution company in Basingstoke. This is a temp to perm role.
Please note weekend work is required.
We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and hardworking Driver, who can deliver to a pre-determined schedule and provide good customer service.
Duties of a Class 1 Driver:
- Deliver stock to retail stores
- Operate tail lifts and pallet trucks as required
- Ensure all delivery paperwork is completed accurately
- Perform daily vehicle checks and report defects
- Maintain a positive relationship with team
- Adhere to all driving laws, tachograph, and working time regulations
Requirements for this Class 1 HGV Role:
- Full UK relevant driving licence (No more than 6 points)
- HGV Class 1 Licence with at least 6 months experience
- CPC card and Digital Tacho Card
- Flexible for shift patterns
More about the role:
- 18.54 per hour
- 25.56 Overtime paid after 8 hours
- Working to a shift pattern including weekends (Weekend shifts paid at overtime)
