The company is a leading fire protection organisation specialising in the design, installation, and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems across the UK. With a strong commitment to safety, compliance, and innovation, they ensure the highest standards of fire protection for residential, commercial, and industrial clients.



Role Overview:

As the Quality Assurance Manager, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance protocols to ensure all fire sprinkler systems meet industry standards, regulations, and client expectations. You will oversee the quality management system (QMS), drive continuous improvement, and ensure full compliance with UK fire safety legislation and third-party accreditation bodies.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, maintain, and improve the Quality Management System.

  • Conduct internal audits and manage external audits from certification bodies and clients.

  • Ensure compliance with UK regulations

  • Monitor and report on quality KPIs and implement corrective/preventive actions as required.

  • Collaborate with design, installation, and service teams to ensure QA is integrated throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Manage non-conformance reports (NCRs), root cause analysis, and follow-up corrective actions.

  • Train staff on quality assurance processes and best practices.

  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, and regulatory bodies on quality-related matters.

  • Lead initiatives for continuous improvement and risk management.



Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Manager, ideally within the fire protection or construction industry.

  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 QMS

  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Proficient in MS Office and QA software systems.

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. NEBOSH, IRCA Auditor, Engineering or Construction-based degree/certification) are advantageous.
