Job Title: Assembly OperativeLocation: Basingstoke, HampshireSalary: £31,000 per annum + Paid Breaks + Long Weekends Are you hands-on, mechanically minded, and looking for a long-term role with great hours and benefits? Our client, a leading UK manufacturer of Acoustic Enclosures and Plant Housings, is expanding—and now's your chance to be part of it. Based in Basingstoke, this privately-owned engineering firm specialises in laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, powder coating, and final assembly. Our client is looking for committed and enthusiastic Assembly Operatives to join their team on a permanent basis. Working Hours: Monday – Thursday, 16:00 to 02:00 (Enjoy every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday off!) Key Responsibilities:-Perform final assembly of custom-built acoustic enclosures and plant housings. -Use a range of hand tools, power tools, and manual equipment (screwdrivers, crowbars, wrenches, etc.). -Work to technical specifications and meet high-quality standards. -Operate in a hands-on, fast-paced production environment. -Full training provided on day shifts for up to 3 months. Requirements:-Previous experience in factory assembly or mechanical work is preferred. -Background as a car mechanic or similar hands-on trade is a plus. -Confident using hand and power tools. Reliable, hardworking, and able to follow instructions. -A team player with a positive, proactive attitude. Benefits:-Excellent salary – £31,000 per year.
