Warehouse ManagerOur client based in Basingstoke are looking for a Warehouse manager to join their team on a full-time permanent basis. This is a really exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking company who take pride in staff satisfaction. This position carries duties associated within the distribution of their products. The role will involve managing the department (team of 3) and ensure all tasks are performed in an efficient and timely manner, investigate picking/shipping errors, communicate with other departments internally and negotiate shipping rates with main transporter. This is hands-on warehouse managers role managing/monitoring goods in, stock control and ensuring all warehouse procedures are followed and health and safety is upheld. Salary & Benefits * £38-40k per annum* Monday - Friday 40 hours per week (07:30-16:30 or 08:00-17:00)* Private Health Insurance* Wellness Benefits* Enhanced Pension (After probation)* 23 days holiday + Bank Holidays* Chance to join a recognised Leading brandRequirements/Duties* Managing/overseeing a team of 3 Warehouse Operatives* Ensure incoming goods receiving is performed with full accuracy.* Ensure outgoing goods shipments are prepared properly according to international trade requirements (when relevant) * Perform physical Cycle Counts twice a year and accurately record and store results for audit purposes.* Maintain knowledge of department processes. Analyse existing processes and propose improvements.* Maintain proper storage procedure and general tidiness of goods within Warehouse environment.* Ensure familiarity and expertise within ERP system relating to Warehouse processes.* Hire, train, develop, and evaluate Warehouse staff members.* Recommend personnel actions and perform semi-annual performance reviews.* Be first point of contact with main company transporter and negotiate shipping rates, follow-up queries and issues.* Health & Safety Awareness Ideal Requirements:* Warehouse Supervisory/management experience* Decision making skills* Organised, ability to multitask* Excellent written and oral communication skills* Experience with Courier freight systems* IT Skills
