We’re looking for a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to support major oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects. This is a 12-month contract with 12 remote days per month from a secure UK location.
Role Overview:
- Location: Basingstoke (12 remote days per month)
- Contract: 12 months minimum
- IR35: Inside IR35 (PAYE only)
- Pay: Open
Responsibilities:
- Produce project safety deliverables (HSE Plans, Philosophies, ToRs, SoWs)
- Organise and attend ENVID, SIMOPS, HAZID, HAZOP, and SIL workshops
- Advise on HSE compliance under UK regulations
- Liaise with clients, stakeholders, and specialist contractors
- Support procurement activities (tender clarifications, bid evaluations)
- Act as Project Discipline Lead where required
Requirements:
- Strong understanding of UK HSE legislation and permitting
- Background in oil & gas, decommissioning, and offshore projects preferred
- Skilled in technical bid evaluation and stakeholder engagement
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to deliver high-quality work independently and in teams
