We are recruiting a Production Manager to join the team and head up their Assembly and Box Build department. This role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, high-quality and timely production of printed circuit board assemblies and sub-assemblies. Responsible for overseeing the production process, leading a team and optimising manufacturing operations.

The responsibilities of the new Production Manager will include:
- Develop and implement production schedules to meet customer demands and delivery deadlines. Coordinate with the planning team to ensure materials and resources are available for production.Â
- Lead and manage a team of production team leaders, technicians and operations. Provide guidance, training and mentorship to ensure a high-performing and motivated team.Â
- Implement and enforce quality control processes to maintain the highest standards of product quality. Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify and address quality issues.Â
- Continuously evaluate and improve manufacturing processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements.Â
- Oversee the maintenance of production equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime. Coordinate with the maintenance team to address equipment issues promptly.Â
- Support and manage the production elements of NPI and work transfer.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations in the production environment. Implement and enforce safety protocols to create a secure working environment.Â
- Collaborate with other departments, such as engineering and logistics, to optimise the production process. Communicate regularly with upper management to provide updates on production status and performance.Â

We are looking for a Production Manager with the following skills and experience:
- A career history within production management roles within the electronics manufacturing industry.Â
- Experience of work transfers and NPI processes.
- A strong leader with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.Â
- In-depth knowledge of production process, quality control, and lean manufacturing principles.Â
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.Â
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations.Â
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.Â
- Proven experience in effectively managing and optimising the production process within the electronics manufacturing industry.Â
- Experience of manufacturing PCBA assembly, surface mount and through-hole.Â
