Are you safety-conscious, hands-on, and looking to build your career in a dynamic manufacturing environment?  Our client, a respected chemical manufacturing company based in Basingstoke, is looking for a reliable and hardworking Production Operative to support their daily chemical production activities on a temporary ongoing basis with an immediate start  This is a great opportunity to join a stable, well-established company offering full training and a supportive team culture.  Key Responsibilities:Safely handle and process hazardous chemicals in line with strict safety protocolsCarry out chemical reactions and manufacturing tasks as instructedAccurately measure and record raw material usage per production batchPerform basic in-process quality checks and testingKeep production areas and equipment clean and well-maintainedOperate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck to move materials and finished productsPackage both powdered and liquid chemical productsMonitor and run chemical plant machineryConduct basic maintenance on production equipmentCollaboration & Teamwork:Work closely with production, laboratory, engineering, and warehouse teamsContribute to a positive, team-focused working environmentProblem Solving & Complexity:Apply basic chemical process knowledge and mathematical skillsUse initiative to support process improvements and solve day-to-day issuesInterpret testing results and take appropriate actions where neededWhat We’re Looking For:A Counterbalance FLT licence – valid or expired (essential)Good numeracy and basic maths skillsStrong written and verbal communication skillsPhysically fit and capable of manual handling tasksWillingness to wear PPE including gloves, goggles, and masksPrevious experience in manufacturing or production is preferredWhy Apply?Competitive salary package with shift allowanceFull training providedGreat working environment with opportunities to developBe part of a vital industry and a company that values safety and teamworkRotational shift patterns – Monday – Thursday 6am – 2pm Fridays 6am – 1pm/ Monday – Thursdays – 1pm – 9pm – Fridays 12pm – 7pmApply now!
