Job Title: SENCO (Special Educational Needs Coordinator)

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced and committed SENCO to join a specialist SEMH school in Basingstoke. This is a key leadership role focused on ensuring high-quality provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), particularly those with Social, Emotional, and Mental Health needs.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage SEND provision across the school.
- Coordinate and implement EHCPs and individual support plans.
- Work closely with teachers, support staff, and external agencies to meet student needs.
- Ensure compliance with statutory requirements and maintain accurate records.
- Provide training and guidance to staff on SEND strategies and best practice.
Requirements:
- SENCO qualification (or willingness to complete).
- Proven experience in a SENCO or similar leadership role.
- Strong understanding of SEND legislation and SEMH strategies.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
Hours & Pay:
- Full-time, term-time position.
