Are you a Geo-Environmental Consultant with Rail experience looking for a project leadership role with an award-winning consultancy? Do you want to take the lead in building a brand-new environmental consultancy within an established business, and carve out the future of a growing division?

On offer is the chance to become a founding member of this groups new Environmental Consultancy arm and join a highly respected consultancy in the critical infrastructure sector. Building on the success in rail and construction, they are now expanding into the geo-environmental sector. With a proven track record delivering projects for some of the UK's largest and most well-known transport operators, they are continuing to expand with a strong pipeline of projects, backed by ambitious growth plans and a clear long-term vision. This is a unique opportunity to step into a leadership role where the progression available is limitless - you will shape the direction of the business, lead the team, and grow with the consultancy.

As a Principal Geo-Environmental Consultant with rail experience, you will be responsible for delivering projects across the rail and property development sectors to begin with, managing client relationships, and providing technical expertise. You will support business development and play a key role in driving growth. Commercial leadership training will be provided where needed, ensuring you are supported to succeed.

This role would suit a Geo-Environmental Consultant with experience in rail or property development, who is looking for a rare opportunity to take ownership, broaden their career, and lead the growth of a brand-new business unit.

The Role:

  • Lead and deliver projects.
  • Provide technical oversight, review reports, and ensure high-quality project delivery.
  • Develop client relationships and support business development opportunities.
  • Play a key role in shaping the strategy and growth of a new consultancy.
  • Hybrid working available (2-3 days in Basingstoke office).

The Person:

  • Experienced Geo-Environmental Consultant (rail or property development background preferred).
  • Excellent technical, management and client-handling skills.
  • Commercially minded with the ability to help win work and grow a business.
  • Based local to Basingstoke or willing to commute.
