Laboratory Porter Quality Control / Salary: 12.65 per hour / Location: Basingstoke, RG24 / Contract: Temporary Ongoing

We are delighted to be recruiting on behalf of Thermo Fisher Scientific, a global leader in scientific innovation, for a Laboratory Porter position at their Basingstoke facility.
This role offers the chance to support scientific breakthroughs that have a real-world impact on public health, food safety, and the environment.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Load and unload laboratory autoclaves to scheduled times
  • Safely dispose of microbiological and hazardous waste following company guidelines
  • Clean and maintain reusable autoclave bins and lab glassware
  • Replenish and distribute consumables across laboratory teams
  • Prepare media and stock plates, and maintain culture stocks
  • Notify engineering and line management of equipment faults
  • Assist with laundry services and maintain laboratory hygiene standards
  • Ensure compliance with company Quality Systems and safety practices
  • Support the Curator and collaborate with Quality Control staff
