Vehicle Technician

Job description:

We are currently seeking a skilled vehicle technician to join our team In Basingstoke

imi/nvq city and guilds light vehicle certification is required, As is a full uk driving licence and your own tools

Mot tester advantage but not necessary

This is a Monday - Friday role 8am - 6pm. Salary is experience dependent but for the experience we require the salary will start at 36,000 (rising to 38000 after 3 months probation) plus bonus. We will pay more for the right technically experienced technician at 40,000+

Overtime is available on Saturdays at additional pay but is not mandatory

As a vehicle technician you will be responsible for conducting vehicle inspections and ensuring that they meet the required safety and environmental standards. This is a vital role in ensuring the safety of vehicles on the road.

Responsibilities:
- Inspect vehicles for any defects or issues that may affect their roadworthiness
- Identify and report any faults or potential problems to customers
- Carry out servicing, maintenance and repairs to all makes and models.

Experience:
- Previous experience as a vehicle technician is essential
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems
- Proficient in using hand tools and power tools for inspections and repairs
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify potential issues or defects
- Good communication skills to interact with customers effectively

Skills:
- Strong mechanical knowledge and understanding of vehicle systems

- Familiarity with power tools used in automotive maintenance
