We are excited to announce the opportunity for a Renewable Technologies Lecturer to join our expanding Construction team at a leading college in Hampshire. Following a successful first round of Green Energy Skills Bootcamps, we are preparing for our second cohort. This role involves delivering a Level 3 Installation of Solar Photovoltaic Systems course along with a Level 2 City & Guilds Award in Sustainability and the Green Environment.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Deliver engaging and informative sessions on Solar Photovoltaic Systems and Sustainability in the Green Environment.
  • Teach on the Level 2 Multi-skills qualification for full-time students, covering units such as Carpentry, Painting and Decorating, Plumbing, Tiling, Health and Safety, and Environmental.
  • Act as a tutor for designated groups of learners, guiding them through their individual learning journeys towards their expected goals.
  • Conduct assessments, action planning, and contribute to course development.
  • Utilize existing resources within the team and collaborate with colleagues to maintain the highest standards in teaching.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • High level of knowledge and experience in a variety of construction crafts, specifically PV Solar.
  • Hold a teaching qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ teaching experience or training within the construction industry.
  • Hold a Level 2 qualification in a vocational, construction area.
  • Committed to developing learners’ skills and technical understanding.
  • Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
