Lead Returns and Repair Technician


Location: Basingstoke
Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
Working Hours: Days, 7am/3pm or 8am/4pm


One of Carbon60's leading Technology Manufacturing clients is seeking a skilled and proactive Lead Returns and Repair Technician to join its operations team.

This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background in electronics and a passion for continuous improvement and leadership.



Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support a small team within the Returns department
  • Repair and test equipment following defined procedures
  • Assist in developing test processes for new components
  • Ensure timely processing of priority returns
  • Investigate delays and implement solutions to improve turnaround times
  • Conduct regular one-to-one meetings with team members
  • Collaborate with internal teams to resolve production-related return issues
  • Record, process, and diagnose faults in returned equipment
  • Participate in structured problem-solving workshops
  • Support training and development initiatives
  • Perform system transactions and maintain accurate records
  • Adapt to changing priorities and contribute to a flexible working environment


Candidate Profile

  • Technical experience in the electronics industry.
  • Methodical and organised approach to work.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and manufacturing systems (e.g., Sage or SAP).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and lead by example.
