A leading legal 500 practice is seeking a Paralegal to join its Clinical Negligence team in Bath. This permanent position offers the opportunity to work within a supportive and high-performing legal team, providing essential support to qualified lawyers and clients.

Role Overview
The Paralegal will support the Clinical Negligence team with a range of legal and administrative tasks. This includes assisting with caseloads, undertaking legal research, preparing documents, and ensuring the smooth running of client matters. The role involves direct client interaction and contributes to the efficient delivery of legal services.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the management of clinical negligence cases, including low-value or pre-funded matters under supervision.
  • Drafting legal documents using standard templates, ensuring accuracy and relevance to each case.
  • Conducting legal research and presenting findings clearly and effectively.
  • Handling administrative duties in line with compliance requirements, including confidentiality, data protection, and document management.
  • Supporting business development and marketing activities, including event preparation and attendance.
  • Recording time accurately and working towards a set fee-earning target.

Skills and Experience

  • Previous experience in a legal support or administrative role.
  • Background in clinical negligence work is highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
  • Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and legal IT systems.
  • Ability to undertake basic legal work under supervision and show initiative when needed.
  • Demonstrated understanding of client care and relationship management.
